Terms and Conditions

  • 3D rendered images should be used only as a guide. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to carefully consider our technical drawings and measurements in order to satisfy themselves to the suitably of our products in your van. This is particularly important on non Volkswagen vehicles. We can not take any responsibility for any incorrectly ordered furniture.

  • Colours, As we offer over 400 colours it is import the correct colours are chosen to suit your requirements. You are welcome to come and view our sample range if you are local. (within office hours and local restrictions permitting.) All colours are available to view on the Geaves (www.geaves.com) website. Look for the Gentas and stylam ranges. No returns will be accepted for incorrect colour choice due to the bespoke nature of the units.

  • We only sell products that are listed on our website. All items listed on the site can not be modified or altered in any way. Any new products that we launch will be listed on the website as soon as they have been tested and are ready for sale. We do not take on any bespoke work.

  • We can not undertake alterations made to the order details after payment. Any alterations if at all possible are at Van Furniture Ltd discretion and may result in significant delivery delays.

  • It is not possible to cancel any orders after they have been machined. Any cancelled orders are at van furniture Ltd discretion. Bespoke non stock colours will be restocked at a 50% handling fee

  • Van furniture Ltd will not be held responsible for losses incurred due to missing parts or delivery delays. Manufacturing faults will be rectified quickly and new parts dispatched as soon as possible at no extra charge.

  • Machine breakdowns and material supply can delay the process and Van furniture Ltd will not be held for any losses incurred as result.

  • Please check the delivery as soon as possible and notify us of any obvious damage or missing parts prior to assembly. This will allow us to rectify the issue as soon as possible.

  • Van Furniture Ltd reserve the right to alter or amend any design with out notice. We will try to notify any customers to design amendments to products and technical drawings. These notifications will appear on our website.

  • Due to the supply nature of some of the components we use, we may substitute components from time to time. These substitutions are often beyond our control and therefore some component substitutions will vary in colour but product performance will remain unchanged.

  • Pricing. The price of our products and services shall be the price listed in on the website or individual quote at the date of purchase or quote or such other price as may be agreed in writing by Van Furniture and the Customer. We reserve the right to change or amend any price for goods or services without notice. Any such change will be effective immediately. Any offer or discount applied to prices will be subject to our usual terms and conditions and can be withdrawn at any point.

  • We may offer discounts and offers from time to time at our discretion, for example "Black Friday deal" offers. All discounts and offers are subject to the relevant products being available to us. We reserve the right to amend or terminate any discount or offer at any time without notice (but this will not affect any orders that we have already accepted).

  • Where we have quoted a price for the furniture or service this will be valid for 30 (Thirty) days only or such lesser time as we may specify.

  • Van Furniture reserves the right, to increase the price of the Goods and/or Services to reflect any increase in the cost to Van Furniture which is due to any factor beyond the control of us (including, without limitation, any foreign exchange fluctuation, currency regulation, alteration of duties, significant increase in the costs of labour, materials or other costs of manufacture),

  • Van Furniture will not be held liable for any delay caused by any instructions of the customer or failure of the customer to give the Van Furniture adequate information or instructions.

  • Except as otherwise stated under the terms of any quotation or specified schedule or in any price list, and unless otherwise agreed in writing between the Customer and Van Furniture, all prices are exclusive of charges for packaging and transport.

  • The price listed on the website or elsewhere online is inclusive of any applicable UK value added tax. Any goods leaving the UK could be liable to local taxes, excise, duties or levies of a similar nature which are imposed or charged by any fiscal authority in respect of the Goods and Services, which the Customer shall be additionally liable to pay to the appropriate authority.

    Assembly and fitting

    We've tried to make assembly of our products as easy as possible. Full instructions are included with every kit and feature diagrams to help guide you through the building process.

    It is possible to construct our furniture with only a small amount of DIY skills and normal tools. Our products are constantly evolving and we are always looking for new, easier and faster ways to build our furniture. So through the evolution of various products, designs may change. These design changes will be on our website.

    Fitting our furniture should be easy. We've taken a lot of time and effort to ensure our pre-scribed T5/6 furniture fits exactly into your van. Variations however can occur between different van builds, the thickness of carpeted panels and flooring heights can effect the fit. In which case the panels may need to be scribed further to ensure a prefect fit. Van Furniture Ltd can not be responsible for any further work required to fit individual vehicles.

    Van Furniture Ltd do not supply any fixing kits to fix the furniture into the vehicle itself. As every installation can vary it would be impossible to supply every different type of fixing for your van. If you have any doubts to you ability to fix our kits securely you should seek professional advice from a camper van builder. We do have a technical department which maybe able to assist you but all advise given over the phone should be considered guidance only and you should satisfy yourself to the roadworthiness of your vehicle during or after installation of our furniture. Van Furniture Ltd accepts no liability for any damage however caused by fitting our furniture.


    Finishing our products


    The finishing of our furniture is required on some non built items. Laminate edges can be sharp so care should be taken when handling. It is recommended that you carefully sand the edges to remove and sharp profiles.

    All kits will need some finishing of the edges, this will mean some sanding will be required to get the perfect look and feel. It is recommend to treat your new wood furniture with a protectant oil or wax. This will keep your product looking great for years to come. We use Osmo oil on all our built furniture. If you wish to match this on exsisting furniture you will need to use the Osmo 3032 clear satin.

    Natural oak finishes. Due to the very nature of the product our real oak work tops and tables should be handled with care. When storing the oak waiting for fitting try to maintain a stable temperature and avoid any changes in humidity and temperature. It is recommended that the oak worktops and tables are treated with an oil or wax to seal the surface making it more resilient to moisture.

    All our built furniture comes sanded and finished to a high standard. Any oak surfaces are fully prepared and treated to an oil finish. Although we try to obtain the best examples of solid oak work tops, we would expect customers that order non built products featuring oak to have to finish these themselves. An example of what to expect to finish the oak tops would be, filling any knots or imperfections and fully sanding the entire piece.

    Plain Ply can vary form batch to batch and may potentially require filling as well as general finishing and sanding.

  • Plain Birch Latvian Birch can vary in quality with varying plugs in faces. Quality has changed due to supply issues with the Russian conflict. Russia had produced 80% of the world’s Birch Ply, tripling the price of the remaining supply.


    Returns

    Due to the bespoke nature of our goods, products cut and delivered may not be returned or refunded. If damage is present we do ask that any damages are reported prior to assembly.

  • Faulty or missing parts will be rectified by Van furniture Ltd as soon as possible. Please call us as soon as possible so we can quickly rectify this.

  • Bespoke cushions covers and bespoke laminates are not able to swapped or exchanged, Samples can be ordered on request. Fabrics are ordered in specifically for each order, if in doubt of any colour or material please contact us for more details. There are no refunds, exchanges or credit on custom-made cushion orders.

    Cushions can not be returned after use.

Delivery Arrangements

  • The purchaser is responsible for making sure we are able to deliver the goods at the delivery address provided to us. Please contact us as soon as possible if you think there could be an issue with the delivery address or any advised date.

  • Any damaged parts must be retained as evidence for a replacement part to be sent out prior to assembly. Photographs may be required.

Our Liability

  • Every effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the contents of this website. However, the company cannot be held responsible for any errors that may occur.

  • In the event of any unforeseen circumstances we will contact you to rearrange the delivery (this includes without limitation delivery vehicle breakdown, machine failure, technical issues or major traffic delays) . Van furniture Ltd will not be held responsible for any losses incurred due to a delay arising out of any issue beyond our control.

  • Lead times are approximation based on productions output at the times , these can change and we do ask for 10 working days on top of these timings in event of delays.

  • These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
